Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nuhorizon did a full remodel of our master bathroom and helped us transform the space. Sean managed our project and guided us through options and recommendations from the design phase all the way through completion. I appreciated the flexibility as we were on the fence with a few design decisions that he helped us work through mid-project. He even was able to quickly help with a small side project unrelated to the master bathroom. The crew was great too and I could tell they had plenty of experience.

We love the end result and happy we went with NuHorizon. They are transparent on pricing and process, and did great work.

They transformed our outdated kitchen into a bright, functional space that our family loves. Communication was excellent, the crew was respectful of our home, and the project was completed on schedule. It's hard to find contractors who genuinely care about the final result, but these guys definitely do.

FAQ's

What does a bathroom remodel cost in the Austin area?

A full bathroom remodel typically runs $15,000 to $45,000 depending on size, fixtures, and whether plumbing is being reconfigured. Primary suite bathrooms with custom showers and dual vanities land at the higher end.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Most single bathrooms take 3 to 5 weeks; a primary suite with a full layout change can take 6 to 8 weeks. We sequence demo, rough-in, tile, and fixtures so nothing sits idle waiting on materials.

Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes, tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most requested upgrades, especially for aging-in-place needs or simply modernizing a dated bathroom. We handle waterproofing, drainage slope, and tile work so the new shower performs as well as it looks.

Do you handle mold or water damage during a bathroom remodel?

Yes — Central Texas humidity and older grout lines often hide moisture damage behind tile. If we find it once demo starts, we address it immediately and keep you informed of any cost or timeline impact before proceeding.

What bathroom features are Austin homeowners asking for most?

Frameless glass showers, freestanding tubs, heated floors, and floating vanities are the most requested upgrades right now. We’ll help you prioritize which features add the most everyday value versus resale value.

Will my water be shut off during the remodel?

Water is only shut off during specific plumbing phases, usually for a few hours at a time, and we coordinate this with you in advance. If your home has only one bathroom, we plan shutoffs carefully around your schedule.

Can a small bathroom be redesigned to feel bigger?

Yes — larger format tile, frameless glass, wall-mounted vanities, and better lighting placement can make a small bathroom feel significantly more open without changing its footprint. We assess layout options during design to maximize every square foot.
